A PhD Defence by Hamsa Hamida was conducted at Delft University of Technology, contributing to an intensive academic exchange on the future of façade design: The dissertation, “Solar Active Facade Design and Development: A Framework for Designing and Developing Building Facades Integrating Solar Cooling Technologies”, explored innovative strategies for integrating solar cooling into building envelopes. The work highlights the growing importance of combining energy performance with façade engineering, addressing key challenges in sustainable and climate-responsive design.
