The house of the future is designed by Behnisch Architects to be the first fully sustainable building on Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago. The outer envelope for (HOF) provides the required protection against outer climatic influences. The envelope considered as multi-layer system, which easily adjusted to different needs and consists of triangular elements, which is considered as a fully stable geometry and self-supporting. The structure is built of fiber-reinforced concrete, thus greater performance could be accomplish in comparison to conventional materials.
