The Glass Competence Center (GCC) of the Institute of Structural Mechanics and Design (ISMD) at Technische Universität Darmstadt, together with colleagues and research partners, contributed to the 10th Challenging Glass Conference at Delft University of Technology, one of the leading international events dedicated to structural glass engineering.
The GCC team presented current research addressing key challenges and emerging developments in structural glass engineering, contributing to discussions on innovative design approaches, advanced engineering methods, and the future of glass in the built environment.
Once again, the conference proved to be an outstanding forum for exchanging knowledge and fostering collaboration between researchers, students, engineers, architects, and industry representatives from across the globe. The technical presentations and discussions highlighted the rapid progress being made in glass research and underscored the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation in advancing the field.
For the GCC team, Challenging Glass remains a unique opportunity to share research, strengthen international collaborations, and engage with the global structural glass community. The event continues to play a significant role in connecting academia and industry while shaping the future of glass engineering and façade design.
