Robotic fabrication of thermoplastic reinforcement on elastically pre-formed aluminium panels. The work was developed by Daniel Andrade in the master’s thesis AM Reinforcement: Additive Manufacturing-Based Optimization of Reinforcement Patterns for Free-Form Metal Façade Panels, under the supervision of Ulrich Knaack and Juan Ojeda as tutor. It forms part of ongoing research by the Generative Design Lab at the Institute of Structural Mechanics and Design, TU Darmstadt.
