Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing is a method for producing three dimensional objects in steel through the controlled deposition of weld material. This research, done by Chris Borg at ISM+D / TU Darmstadt, looks at the possibility of combining welded material with thin sheet metal as a means of reinforcing and detailing free-form façade elements.
