The institute, located at the Faculty for Mechanical Engineering, is interested in the design for additive manufacturing with a focus on powder-bed-fusion and fused filament fabrication methods, especially with the design potentials of increased functionality and new hybrid manufacturing technology.

- EOS M290 and corresponding infrastructure for the process chain (together with KLuB, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Chr. Mittelstedt)
- 5 FFF printer (Prusa, Ultimaker)
- 1 developmental prototype
