Especially complex structures do require complex knots to be build – this has always been the problem, when you wanted to get a free form structure being build or connected to an existing building.
With this project our colleagues form the Chair Steel Construction at TU Darmstadt / BE-AM lab have developed a force and form optimized steel knot, being able to take a serious structural function. This one was printed by our research partner at TU Ilmenau / Chair Production Engineering – good job!
