///Wire-Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM)
Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) combines standard welding equipment (A power source, A Welding Torch, and a Wire feed) with controlled motion; usually achieved through robotics or Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems, allowing for the controlled deposition and fusion of Metals to form a three-dimensional object. The ISM+D and IFSW Departments at TU Darmstadt are currently researching the potentials of this manufacturing technique for the use in Facades and Construction.
