This is a call for application for the theme additive manufacturing of wood.
Yes the technology is not yet developed. However, some ideas are developed but we do not have a final proven technology. But that’s the challenge: how would we print wood? Real Wood, not the wood fibres, mixed with polymers and by that glued. Real wood, first disassembled and in a new geometry assembled – to function as construction material for facades.
Motivated applicant’s need to hold an MSc in Architecture or Civil engineering and need to bring individual funding for a 4 years Ph.D. program in Delft. Applications to be sent to u.Knaack@TUDelft.nl
