///4th Edition of the Circularity in the Built Environment Graduation Awards / Delft

In the past years, an ever-increasing number of graduation projects by the students of the Faculty of A+BE have focused on circularity. The Circularity in the Built Environment Graduation Awards were established in 2019 by the Circular Built Environment (CBE) Hub as a means of recognizing students’ contribution to the transition toward a circular built environment and for further stimulating research and innovation in this field.

On October 3, amidst an emotional ceremony held in the Berlage Rooms, the CBE Hub celebrated the impressive work of all students of the 4th edition of the Circularity in the Built Environment Graduation Awards. During the ceremony, the CBE Hub also honoured Tillmann Klein, the beloved colleague and CBE Hub initiator and helmsman who passed away last June: from now on, the ‘Materials and Components’ Award will be named after him.

Results this year were announced by Dean Dirk Evert Van Gameren. Congratulations to all winners of the four categories: Christiaan Hanse, (Management and Policies), Shiru Liu (Cities and Regions), Yeonghwa Choe and Julia Gospodinova (Buildings and Neighbourhoods), and Samanwita Ghosh (the first ‘Tillmann Klein’ award winner).

This year’s jury members were: Paul Chan, Atze Boerstra, David Peck, Piero Medici, Caroline Newton, Alexander Wandl, Olga Ioannou, and also last year’s winners, Adrianna Karnaszewska, Sophia Kouvela, Alex Kirschstein, Jin-Ah Duijghuisen.

The winning and nominated projects will be on show in the corridor around the Oostserre from 4 to 26 October 2023. For more information, please visit: https://www.tudelft.nl/2023/bk/circular-built-environment/winners-cbe-graduation-awards-2022-2023-announced
