The “User Centered Facades” session, the no 13 of our conference “The Future Envelope”, took place on the last day of March 2021 in Delft. Actually not in reality in Delft, as it was a digital event in the current pandemic situation – so only the core group of organizers was in Delft.
But even being entirely digital the outline worked well: 13 nice and good lectures, 4 breakout rooms with our industry partners and more than 250 participants! It was interesting to see that the user becomes a significant parameter of our design and engineering. Beside that, material usage and circularity is becoming key, being intensively pushed by industry! And we learned that technology is mostly available – the problem is more on the building and user side – interesting experience and good potential for improvement! Next session to come in 2024 – then in Delft again!
