///Paper House for Weather Test
Emergency shelters made of paper could be an alternative to currently common tent solutions to provide people with a temporary place to stay during catastrophic events. A research team at Darmstadt Technical University developed a prototype constructed almost entirely of paper and erected it at the Lichtwiese Campus – to investigate whether structures made of paper materials can withstand wind and weather for several years and prove their worth as longer-term shelter. The project was and is supported by ZukunftBau and will continue for measurements and evaluation in the next years.
