Mira Conci successfully discussed her dissertation with the title “E3 – A parametric model to evaluate trade-offs between the Energetic, Economic, and Environmental lifecycle performance of building projects”. Her work focuses on evaluating the decarbonization potential of residential multi-family buildings in Germany. For this purpose, she evaluated combinations of traditional and innovative strategies for the building envelope, the building services, and the integration of renewable energy generation. To perform the evaluation, she built a model to balance the primary energy use, the lifecycle Global Warming Potential, and the rate of return on investment of building projects.
