From June 15th to 17th 2015 we are holding a workshop about multifunctional adaptive façades. It will take place as part of the EFN-mobile workshop series at the Technical University in Delft and is based on the research of “ThinkingSkins” by Jens Böke.
ThinkingSkins describes the exploration of adaptive building envelopes on the basis of negotiated information. This includes the conceptual analysis of current technical developments towards a total construction system.
Inside the workshop we are going to prototype façade responses on dynamically changing environmental conditions. In a first step, individual façade functions will be studied which should then become integrated into a holistic system.
The result of the workshop will be prototypes of multifunctional adaptive façades.
