The idea behind this sketch is the combination of CAAD design, 3-D modelling and FIF (Functionally integrated façades). Here, the advantages of digitally modelled honeycomb structures are used for customized application. The size of the honeycombs varies depending on the specific shading/transparent areas needed in the façade.
In combination with automated lifting devices, the honeycomb panes can provide flexible shading. As in with some of the other ideas, the appearance of the elements change with their size – scaling from macro to micro offers a big variety of solutions.
