This principle is based on the fact that generative production procedures can now generate complicated geometries and previously insoluble constructions. According to the principles of bionic bone structures, material is only placed where the forces connect to the structure. Thus, you can detect the regions where the forces interact by applying a finite element analysis (FEM), lightweight structures can easily be designed. Material on zero lines/forces can be minimized or completely eliminated.
Using rapid manufacturing technologies, load-bearing structures seem possible with materials such as steel or aluminum, to create effective and lightweight façade structures.
