///Hollow Glass Units Bridge @ Coring Museum of Glass

Hollow glass units – HGUs, a method of using glass as a load-bearing structure. A first prototype, “Tortuca”, utilizes the shape of an arch to give a proof of principle for a 3m long bridge made of 13 HGUs. “Tortuca” has attracted a lot of attention, including that of the Corning Museum of Glass. A 10 m long bridge made of over 120 HGUs has been constructed here in the beginning of December, accompanied by an event on the 28th of January 2025.
