///We Lost an Inspiring Friend!
With sadness we have to tell you that we lost our good friend and colleague Prof. Dr. Ing. Tillmann Klein, who passed away 17. June 2023.
Tillmann was professor of Building Product Innovation, inventor of the Facade Design and Engineering Journal, our conference series and this blog.
Next to his activity in facade research he was the innovative creator of the Circular Built Environment Hub – a cross-departmental, dedicated community teaching and conducting research on circularity – and a leader in online education for circularity and sustainability in architectural practice and the building industry.
We experienced Tillmann as a strategic thinker and empathic leader, generous with his knowledge and passionate about inspiring and motivating everyone around him.
His passing is a great loss for his family, our university and the facade community – we have lost a friend!
